    Name: Pop-Up Park
    Date: May 18, 2019
    Time: 8:00 AM - 11:00 PM EDT
    Event Description:
Join us for one-day adventure in downtown place-making. We're commandeering two parking spots in the parking lot off 3rd Street between Broadway and Main - adjacent to the Danville Community Mural - and converting them into a temporary park. The 200 square foot 'park' will be divided into two sections, with furnishings and free activities designed to promote family fun and individual creativity.

Family Fun Lawn - stop by with your family and enjoy corn hole, Jenga, lawn dice and other activities. You can even learn a new dance - the Title Town Two-Step!

Writers Garden - rediscover the lost art of written communication. Try your hand at using an old-fashioned type-writer or sit down and pen a note to a friend using our pre-stamped postcards. Or just sit for a spell and enjoy the experience of an unconventional garden!

Our pop-up park dovetails beautifully with three other community events that you should definitely check out! The Danville Garden Club will be hosting a tour of 8 Inspiring Gardens throughout the day on Saturday. And The Boyle County Public Library will be hosting authors, poets, writers, and journalists for readings and book signings as part of the 2019 Jeanne Penn Lane Celebration of Kentucky Writers. Then in the evening, be sure to get your tickets for "Moon Over Buffalo" at West T Hill Community Theatre.

Thanks to McAfee Mowing & Landscaping for contributing plants and to Blue Bird Market for supplying garden furniture!
