Heart of Danville would like to conduct a walk audit in our downtown community. Too many communities in the United States are designed exclusively or almost exclusively for automobile travel, with very little consideration given to the needs of pedestrians. A walk audit identifies the roads and intersections that are dangerous for pedestrians but can and should be safely walkable and crossable.
Walk Audits can help create a pedestrian-friendly environment, increase exercise opportunities for your communities, boost social interaction among neighbors, enable people to get around without having to drive, help reduce traffic congestion and pollution, and lead to increased property values.
Please join us for this walk by signing up for this event at firstname.lastname@example.org or 859-236-2361 ext. 140.
