For almost 40 years, Sheehan, Barnett, Dean, Pennington, Little & Dexter, PSC has provided our community with a spectrum of legal services.
On June 7, 1979, James G. Sheehan, James William Barnett, and Edward Hays joined together as partners to establish a full-service legal firm. The founding partners set out to provide competent and professional legal services to the community and region in which they lived, a mission, which is still being fulfilled today.
Living and working in Danville means the firm has the distinct privilege of serving the legal needs of neighbors, professionals, institutions, and generations of families that call Danville and surrounding communities home. By virtue of living and working here for over forty years, Sheehan, Barnett, Dean, Pennington, Little & Dexter, PSC has become a trusted and enduring partner for our clients, which according to partner Stephen Dexter “is extremely satisfying for us as a firm and our clients.”
Their commitment to the community means things are done differently at Sheehan, Barnett, Dean, Pennington, Little & Dexter, PSC. They understand that dealing with legal matters can be confusing and stressful, so they strive to make it easy. When working with one of their attorneys', clients can expect an open door policy, a moral compass to do what is right, and experience – the attorneys have over 100 years of combined experience.
In 2015, the firm made the decision to invest significant dollars in downtown Danville and built a 4,800 sq. ft. expansion of their current practice and location at 114 South Fourth Street. The completed expansion compliments the architectural integrity of their existing office and the downtown historic district.
“We are proud to call it home and are pleased to have an attractive new structure that is a positive architectural element downtown which also serves the needs of our clients,” said Dexter.
